Of Justice

Often tears come down my eyes when I correlate the amount of justice pervailing through the fabric of my society - an Islamic society by name containing many diversities - with the following Prophetic tradition. Prophet of Islam once uttered, and as I quote I weep:
Shall I inform you of a better act than fasting, alms, and prayers? Making peace between one another: enmity and malice tear up heavenly rewards by the roots.

I shall not hate. I shall love and be just, because "God loves the just (Qur'an 5:42)."

Ameen. That's a beautiful hadith, subhanAllah. :)

If you quoted this verse from surah Al-Maidah, then I am afraid that the translation is quite out of touch with the arabic text.

If it is convenient, could you possibly quote me the source?

A fine, deserving conviction.

@Brickwall,

It is from Surah Al-Maida. I copied the translation of Syyed Hossien Nasr. It is the last part of ayah # 42.

@ Slaman Latif,

Thanks!

Please trust me that I have no intention to drill across any point of mine nor nitpick but the translation, except the last bit, really does not correspond to the original text. You may refer to other translations online or home to be sure of what I am saying.

Dear Brickwall,

Thanks for being critical, I can only appreciate that. I only quoted (in italics): "God loves the just." The former part (non-italics) is mine. I should quote the ayat, would it be fine than?

PS: Can I have your email, I want to ask serious questions from you on the meaning and interpretation of Qur'an? If you may find it convenient, please send it on umer.sultan.aladal@gmail.com

Yours truly!
