"Develop this habit of talking to Allah. My shaykh Arif-billah Hadhrat Dr Abdul-Hayy ‘Arifi (may Allah have mercy on him) told this to us repeatedly. Sit in solitude and contemplate that I am infront of Allah. Tell Him everything that is on your mind and bothering you. Your past mistakes, the present difficulties and future apprehensions . Tell Him in detail and ask for guidance and help. InshaAllah, in addition, to relieving your anxiety it will lead to the creation of a bond between you and your Lord, Allah (ta’luq ma Allah).”"Source: http://www.ashrafiya.com/

ma sha Allah!
Many people approach the possibility of communicating with God as something very 'distant' and 'miraculous'. But that is so wrong when Allah Himself declares He's closer to us than our Prime Vein. When we are thinking about our problems we assume that we are thinking along, sorting things out on our own. On these routine thinking times, it really helps to replace this 'lonely' and 'on one's own' feeling with an active address to God. Instead of thinking something like "here i'm in trouble again; how to get free?" we can as spontaneously and naturally think "O my dear God, I'm in trouble again and I really don't know how to get free of this". You will immediately feel a difference... InshaAllah
@ Rhodora,
Masha Allah. Your comment really is useful...
@NA
:)
It truly helps a lot. (:
I so agree with Rhodora's comment. We think it is us doing things on our own, but we forget that there is a power behind everything, the power that is helping us do and achieve things...
We'd be so satisfied if for once we truly create a bond with Allah SWT...
